On July 16th 2018, the Albuquerque Stake sponsored the first regional Mormon Night activity at the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball stadium. The Isotopes are a Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies and play in a stadium that can seat over 12,000 spectators. On our Mormon Night, over 1,600 LDS church members attended the game from 4 participating area stakes.
The national anthem was beautifully performed by Natalie Snelling, a 15 year old young woman from the East Ridge ward. The first pitch honors were handled by the second counselor of the Albuquerque Stake presidency, president Derek Lines.
During the game, the Isotopes played our customized JustServe video on the in-house jumbotron video screen. The highlight of the game was hearing sister Jolene Wolfley’s radio broadcast. Sister Wolfley, a member of the Taylor Ranch ward and the Regional JustServe Specialist, was interviewed on the JustServe program that was broadcast to the Isotopes’ listening audience.
